Engrave Grayscale Picture by LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine, Step by Step Guide Settings

Engraving on items has evolved from small pieces of jewellery to large pieces of metal or stone. Engraving is a great way to permanently add designs or messages to an object. If you want to be able to engrave on anything from metal, glass or stone with precision then you need a LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine, brought to you by AM.CO.ZA. Often one engraves words or logos onto an object, but can one engrave a photo? In the below video we see if this is possible!

First, we start off with the template. We create the correct size, import a photograph, and then make some adjustments to the image, such as greyscale, contrast, and brightness. What is important is to use a Fixed Dpi and adjust the Point Power Mapping. For this, we need to know the grey values but to save time, you can just click on Generate. We also take a look at other important settings. These settings will affect how the engraving comes out, but don’t worry, you can always do a test on scrap surfaces before you engrave on an important surface.

We are now ready to mark the material. We have chosen stainless steel for this test.

And the results speak for themselves! After the initial test, we adjusted settings such as making shadows darker and different highlights, making the engraving much better. Using a LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine gives one the recession engraving needed for the fine details.

So now you know that you can engrave a photo with the LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine from AM.CO.ZA.

Lastly, you may be wondering if one can engrave a Vector File using a LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine? Well, if you weren’t, you certainly are now. The answer is yes.
