#SortIT, How Auto Clean Function on FastCOLOUR Large Format Printer Works to Keep Printhead Cleaned Regularly

How To Run A Printhead Clean (A Step by Step Guide)

When ink becomes parched it blocks the nozzle. If this is not addressed appropriately, it could even result in your printer ceasing to work. However, this can be merely be resolved by cleaning the printhead.

When your printer is in operation your ink remains humid and aqueously. When the printer is not in use over a prolonged period of time, the ink in the printhead will eventually start to dry up. This is the reason why it is so important to do a nozzle flush on a regular basis.

AM’s FastCOLOUR large format printer has an automatic function in place tailor-made for this.
Perform the following steps to access this function:

Select the “Setup Menu”

And then scroll down to “Auto Clean”

The “Auto Clean” option automatically flushes print head nozzles if they are clogged.

Decide whether to do a nozzle flush for half an hour, 1 hour, 3 hours or 8 hours.

When you make use of your wide format printer consistently, only taking short breaks in between, the chances of ink drying up will be reduced. Select nozzle flush option to clean printhead every 8 hours.

When you don’t do much printing, it would be best to do a nozzle flush every 3 hours. This will help flush out any possible traces of dry ink trapped within the nozzles.

The chances of unused ink drying up within your printhead increases If you print limitlessly, with restricted colours. In this case cleanin
g the nozzles every hour is the way to go.
In the case of unrestrained single colour printing, it is highly recommended that you do a nozzle flush, every half an hour.

The “Auto Clean” function produces superior quality and the most excellent maintenance for the machine.
