Machining Video: How to Level Motorised Table of a Cabinet Laser Machine
Today we show you how to level motorised table of the Cabinet Laser Machine from am.co.za.
This baby: am.co.za/library/laser/laser-cutters-laser-engravers comes with a rectangular table that can be raised or lowered manually by rotating a handle. Let's say for example that while trying to cut a 1/4″ piece of plywood you noticed that the distance from laser head is greater toward the front of the machine. This causes incomplete cuts on that area. Here’s how to fix it:
• First check if your table actually needs alignment. Move your laser head to the top left corner and adjust table to required height. Normally your laser will focus at +- 19mm from the object - so that’s the distance you would play around in setting your table.
• Now, move your laser head to the top right corner and check distance. Keep moving it to other 2 corners and take a note where it is lower or higher than initial corner. Kindly note that in this case, even few millimeters can make a difference between perfect cut and bad one.
