How to Master LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine, Advance Power and Frequency Settings

The LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine from AM.CO.ZA is undeniably remarkable, offering a plethora of possibilities for creating stunning laser art effects. In this tutorial, we will explore how to achieve awesome laser art by experimenting with power and frequency settings. So, buckle up as we delve into the world of Fiber Laser artistry with a Fiber Laser Marking Machine.

Step 1: Select artwork to embark on your laser art journey, we begin by choosing black and white line work or tattoo art. This artwork will serve as the foundation for your laser creations. Remember that the chosen design should be black and white, but fret not if it isn't – you can easily convert it to black and white using software like Photoshop!

Step 2: Once you have your artwork, open it in your chosen design software and now it is time to trace and vectorise the artwork. Trace the image using the object menu, and then expand it. To remove the background, utilize tools like the magic wand and delete unwanted portions. Adjust the size to fit your canvas, ensuring your image is now vectorized.

Step 3: Once your image has been vectorised, the next step is to export the image as a vector file to import into the LabelMark Software for your Fiber Laser Machine. Next, we turn on the LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine so that it links with the LabelMark Fiber Laser software. In LabelMark, we import the artwork by selecting the vector file option. The artwork must be centred and sized, keeping in mind the desired engraving dimensions. Ensure the lock is unlocked if you wish to resize without proportion constraints.

Step 4: We now configure the fiber laser settings to create various artistic effects using the same artwork. Experiment with different parameters such as loop count, speed, power, frequency, and pulse width. For example, a lower loop count with higher power and frequency may result in a lighter engraving, while a higher loop count with lower power and frequency can produce deeper and more detailed effects. We will be using Chromadek sheeting as the sheet has a white base coating, which will be layered off to reveal the steel coating underneath. Using the different settings, we will get different depths of lasering off this base coat.

Step 5: Before starting the laser engraving process, it's crucial to focus the laser to ensure the artwork is engraved correctly on the sheet. Align the laser markers using the provided triangular markings, ensuring optimal focus. Fine-tune the focus by adjusting the wheel until the laser produces a concentrated and clear dot. Also, make sure that the continuous mark is not selected, otherwise, you will get a continuous engraving loop.

Step 6: You are now ready to engrave onto the sheet by selecting mark or pressing the F2 key on your keyboard to commence the engraving process. Keep an eye on the artwork as it unfolds, and adjust settings accordingly for your desired results. We noticed from our first engraving that the engraving is not so deep, and this can be fixed by simply adjusting the focus.

Step 7: To explore the different effects to showcase the versatility of fiber laser art, experiment with different settings on multiple iterations of your artwork. Vary loop counts, speed, power, and frequencies to witness contrasting effects. Consider using different materials for different results as well.

Conclusion: The LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine's capabilities extend beyond traditional engraving, allowing artists to create intricate and captivating laser art. By understanding and manipulating power, frequency, and other settings, you can unlock a world of possibilities for your laser art projects. So, get creative, experiment with different parameters, and let your imagination run wild with the LabelMark Fiber Laser Marking Machine from AM.CO.ZA!
